Dec 2018 (dhellerstein@runbox.com) This contains the wsEmail package. It uses js and php libraries in the wSurvey package. It should be installed in the wsEmail subdirectory of a wSurvey directory (which is usually a subdirectory of the root WWW directory of the server) It uses swiftMailer (or pear), imap, and a few other PHP email packages. See .txt files in the wsurvey\install directory for more details. After you first install these files (and subdirectories), you should invoke wsEmail with your favorite web browser. I.e.; www.mysite.org/wsurvey/wsEmail/index.php When first invoked, you will see a sequence of setup screens -- this is where you provide connection information about your POP and SMTP server(s). Directories created when wsEmail is installed: archive: used to store backups of the mysql files used to store emails. customData : used to store data used for customization (of bulk emails) export: used to store export files (such as the list of pop accounts0 export/upload: uploaded export files from other wsEmail servers, should be place here. mbox : used to store mbox files (contents of an individual email) mbox/upload : mbox files uploaded from other wsEmail servers should be placed here. temp: temporary directory test: test files (for demonstration purposes) Security Notes: For a bit of extra security, you can create a wsEmailParams.inc file in a location that is not web accessible. See wsEmail/WsEmailParams.inc for the details (look for the $altParamsFile variable) A htaccess.txt file is included. It can be used (by copying, or renaming, it to .htacces) to limit access to all *.inc files. This is not required by wsEmail, but it will limit access to some of your site specific parameters.
